What Milo Saw by Virginia Macgregor

One book bought – the Julius House on Kindle – after I read Midnight Crossroad last week and felt the need for some Aurora.  But I valiantly resisted the urge to buy the next book.  And I went into The Works on Saturday and emerged EMPTY HANDED!  That’s practically superhuman willpower for me!

 

Another fairly good week’s progress – despite a lot of real life stuff getting in the way so to speak.  Some really good books in there – some that were a little disappointing.  But hey, c’est la vie.

Oh dear – a bit of backsliding this week – thanks to a trip to The Works and the charity shop.  I’d been doing so well.

Started the week off with some promising progress on the Kindle backlog, but progress slowed towards the weekend – despite late shifts all weekend and lots of long (for me) train journeys. But there was some good stuff in the reading, and that’s the most important thing.

I didn’t buy anything on nights! A miracle has occurred.  Perhaps my will power is improving.  Or not.

I bought 5 books in the early hours of Wednesday.  Oops.

There is a little bit of a theme to this week’s reading.  I picked up a copy of the second Harper Connelly book at a charity shop on Thursday, read it pretty much straight away – and then went straight on to books three and four which were waiting on the pile (and had been for sometime).  I’m on nights this week coming, so expect the reading matter to be lightweight and non challenging.  I’ll be avoiding anything that’s potentially a weepy too!

While writing this, The Boy has been reading some of this post over my shoulder, and I’ve had to own up to a book purchase that I hadn’t mentioned to him(the Charlaine Harris).  So I probably ought to mention that I bought two other books at the same time… But that was it for purchases this week.  And I’ve read a non-fiction book this week – and a library book, so that’s working on my New Year’s resolutions. I’m not sure he’ll see it that way if he reads this!
